OUTSIDE 2021: Panel discussion

December 2021

Developer Panel

A panel of 4 leading developers share their perspectives on sustainable landscapes and sustainable development. They discuss the obstacles and objections regarding the implementation of sustainable landscapes, the potential benefits and values for the state, economy, and real estate industry, and the key metrics, incentives, or financial drivers which would have the greatest impact on shifting developer behavior.

Speakers:

Brian Canin, Canin Associates, Inc.; Ernie Cox, Family Lands Remembered, LLC; Timothee Sallin, Cherrylake; Matt Call, Starkey Ranch

Implementation Panel

During our Implementation Panel we gathered together individuals to represent developers, public entities, and privately-owned companies. During their presentation, they go over the process for delivering a successful project, from the WHY to ideation to long-term maintenance, and they review the critical path. They discuss ideas and solutions to issues currently facing sustainable landscapes.

Speakers:

Chris Hite, Dix Hite; Richard Levey, Tavistock Development; David Ressler, Cherrylake; Patrick Bohlen, University of Central Florida
